Rarely have I experienced a full week of rain. Indeed, I have to go back to those crazy days in the year 1986, in Norway when rain was pouring down for 6 weeks, changing our yard into a muddy morass requiring high rubber boots.
This Texas weather though is a subtle slow persistent drizzle day in, day out. Camp roads are getting worse every day. The entry from the paved main road will soon be passable for 4x4s only.
Today we went to the post office and canceled our mail box.
The day went by to get ready for departure tomorrow morning. Waste water had to be deposed of, Solar panels were put down and secured and I re-organized our cargo compartment in the trailer.
A last visit to the near-by Dollar Store to get eggs and then we visited the bird sanctuary down by the river once more. The host there allowed Bea to sit under his awning to observe and photograph birds coming by to enjoy the food he had put out for them.
