First Day Of Travel South

"Are you vaccinated?" "We got three jabs"

That was the extent of the conversation we had with the CBP officer this morning. And off we went down the road. Of course the road was bumpy, very bumpy. Occasional improvements on coastal Rte 1 were interchanging with parts a lot worse. Obviously, the last winters had done quite a job on it.

Things got a lot better once we were on the Interstate. Mostly sunny skies and no wind made it easy.

But the days are short and around 4pm EST, we had enough. Just pulled into a parking lot off the interstate in New Hampshire and called it a day. 1hr. later it was dark. Driving in the dark out west where traffic is scarce is one thing, driving at dark here in the wild east is terrible. From years ago I remember traffic on I-95 through Maine as light. Well, it isn't any more.

  3. Driving at night even in the west isn't a whole lot of fun because of animals. So I'm glad you guys tucked in for the night.
