I chose to work! I guess, having the choice whether you want to work or have a lazy day is a good thing. I chose to work in the bramble jungle. Grabbed the weed-eater and the power saw and started cutting into the wildly growing raspberry jungle. Working until exhaustion… | The result – a clearing | Because of the cold weather I had put on a woolen hat, a sweater AND a warm jacket. Pretty soon I found out I was dressed way too warm. At lunch time I had exhausted myself to a point that I was ready for bed. Instead we had a power lunch and after an appropriate break I was ready for the second round. That round pretty much ended with a knock-out. Raking all the cut-off stuff together, carrying pieces of brushwood and swinging the weed-eater back and forth was too much for the first day of activity. I grudgingly acknowledge that 5 months in the South with almost no physical activity is a set-back for physical strength. So next time, I have to be a bit more cautious with what activity I start outside. Not always sunshine on Campobello |
May not be sunshine but it sure is pretty !
ReplyDeleteI told you to hunker down and you didn't listen. HA!
ReplyDeleteGood for you to get out and do what needed to be done.
I told you to hunger down too. You must have figured no one else was going to do it so you had too. Then, I guess I'll just say, stay warm!

ReplyDeleteLooks like you & I are just a couple wild & crazy Spring clean-up guys Peter & I sure know about that lack of exercise during the winter months. Happens to me every Spring.
ReplyDeleteI have a hard time to sit still too long and after all I have just hopped off the drivers seat where I was sitting for 8 traveling days.
ReplyDeleteI have no idea why I am sooo eager to be that busy all-of-a-sudden. Last year I managed to mangle my right foot on the first day home, knocking me out of work for a full month.
