MASS SHOOTING IN LAS VEGAS! NOBODY SHOT BACK!

DEADLIEST MASS SHOOTING IN THE US HISTORY!

And here we wake up to another shooting disaster, one of hundreds in the USA, this time in the city of sin, Las Vegas. At least 50 people lost their lives, many more got hurt.  And I am asking where were all those well-armed cowboys, rednecks, and would-be warriors who are so proud Americans always convinced that they can defend themselves and the public, should the need occur. And I would think that the need was right there in Vegas.

But of course, everybody knows that the mantra of “carrying” and “being able to defend” is just that, an illusion. No-where else in the civilized world is the population killing themselves at a comparable rate than in the USA. When a gunman shows up, the moment of shock and surprise is overwhelming, and instead of returning fire, people do what people are supposed to do --- seeking cover. And that is the simple answer to why gun-carrying hard-working tax-paying Americans are not so brave as they think they are.

But the USA will continue indefinitely as the nation which lives on in a delusional bubble of false hopes and security.

Sad…as the orange ape says.

While the American public is again stumbling over eachother in offering “Thoughts and Prayers” it has by now gotten obvious that it doesn’t work. Instead it has grown into a never ending bad circle.

  2. Oh please..the shooter shot from 400 yards and it was difficult to determine where the shots were coming from. I cannot believe that you wrote this on a day when we are mourning the death of 60 victims and over 400 injured. Bodies are still scattered until claimed. Why don't you donate blood instead of spewing your hatred.

    1. No need to donate blood....we're donating common sense....you don't need machine guns,or AK47.s to shoot Bambi...Do you notice these types of mass killings going on in other countries...do they have children bringing guns to schools. I am a former NRA member, veteran and hunter,at no time did I ever feel the need for more fire power or the need to openly carry to intimidate my fellow citizens.

    2. Dee, instead of mourning over and over and over again, the U.S. should finally abolish the 2. amendment and make it impossible to buy machine guns. Instead they make it EASIER.
Of course, in this case, it took 2 hrs before the shooter was even located. But there have been hundreds of previous cases where no civilian was brave or able enough to defend himself or his fellow citizens. In Nevada anyone can buy guns from private sellers without background checks.

  3. Richard: Not enough info has been released. The speculation is that he may have owned an AK-47 illegally. It is very difficult to purchase one and they are banned in many of our states. You most likely know all that. The majority of terrorists don't kill with guns. Deranged minds will always find a way so removing guns is not the solution. The lady with the shooter could have done justice by informing Security that "people were going to die." What country are we comparing ours to? We have a population of over 300 million. This incident has nothing to do with the NRA. Peter is so negative about Trump and our country that I'm sure his blog is flagged--if not it should be.

    1. Dee; I would have no problem purchasing one of those weapons in Florida if I chose to do so because of our lack of registration and distribution of firearms.Whether a deranged mind or terrorist obtains one of these mass destruction weapons is irrelevant, the outcome is the same.I'm comparing our country to places like Canada, where yes there have been shootings but limited casualties due to their stricter enforcement of gun control laws. It has everything to do with the NRA and Republican leadership.I have many Canadian friends including Peter, who see Trump and the Republicans for what they really are Deplorable.I applaud my Canadian and American friends for taking issue with our failed democracy.

    2. Dear Dee, if you FINALLY would stop reading Breitbart and Co. you would POSSIBLY understand that millions of foreigners are VERY negative about Trump and your country. We are hosting boondockers many times a year on our property and so far everyone has been VERY negative about Trump and your country (btw. all Americans) and they are VERY EMBARRASSED about it as well.

    3. Well..like minds do tend to flock together. Of course, your boondockers would think like you! Actually, my source of news is OAN at this juncture of my life. I haven't found another source to trust. I tend to observe a situation and draw a conclusion. My husband and I have our own "opinion" about the Las Vegas situation and we'll wait to see if it plays out anywhere close.

    4. Richard: My point is that you are comparing a country of 34 million vs. our country with 300 million. How many stadiums, outdoor events, Casinos and other crowded events take place in Canada? These are opportunities for deranged minds. I don't mind strictor gun control but it will never solve the problem because there will always be a way to obtain weapons or build your own.

    5. Dee, our boondockers have always been strangers. We never know them beforehand. And re. your comparison to Canada being so small in population, gun violence is widely expressed in percentage of 1000 people, and that's where the US has a really bad problem. Gun violence in Australia dropped dramatically after they changed their gun laws, essentially prohibiting hand guns and semi-automatics. But you have your set opinion and with you millions of your fellow citizens and that's where the real problem is. Otherwise Congress would have acted a long time ago. But it's all about votes, power and money.
