The Flag Is Down! The Pitchforks Have Spoken.

The sun wasn’t up yet when I walked outside and took the flag down this morning.

  1. A sad day for democracy. We now have plutocracy.

  2. It is a great day in America. We have a new first lady, and new President. President elect-Trump will be the people's president and if you do not like him, that's okay. Stay home and watch. We're good down here.... PEACE!

  3. We're resilient. We have spoken. We, the people, feel like we have been heard and are emboldened. We will speak again if our country starts to go off the rail. Plutocracy has been here for a long time; it didn't start yesterday.

  4. Yes, White America has spoken. We now have a president that is worshipped by the White Citizens Council and the KKK, a first lady who can be seen in the nude on the web, a congress that is salivating to approve justices that will tow the fundamentalist line, and a population of fools that truly believes this 'messiah' will get them their jobs back from the Chinese. He is a con man folks and I am embarrassed for my country that they fell for it. I only hope the devastation is not fatal. Thank you Peter and Bea for the comment, though it brought tears to my eyes.

    1. Thanks Toni for your comment. I know it is hard to be American these days. I promise to keep my flag in a safe place for the day when America awakes of this bad dream.

    1. America has always been great, but we will see whether that is also valid for the future. Rome and Greece and the British Empire and the 3rd. Reich.....they destroyed themselves from within. Is America next?

  6. Aged, Randy. It is too bad Toni missed how all walks of people voted our new president into office. And, bringing jobs back is a great idea, people can get one and earn their way rather having their country support them. Making America great again!

    1. The trouble is that he never told you how he wants to force companies to get back to America. He himself has production going on abroad. He cannot re-activate old steel mills in the rust belt. He can impose 40% import duties for all Chinese products though....which will make Walmart disappear the same day or, alternatively have you pay a much higher price for your products. Do you actually know that iterally all electronic parts in your car are produced abroad? No? I thought so. And that, my friend, is where you and all the trumpists are so heavily mistaken.

    2. I'm going to go with Putin and wikileaks meddling in the outcome of our election. As I watched the returns it seemed strange to me that the battleground states all started off well for Democrats and then as if someone flipped a switch they all in tandem went Republican...find it hard to believe we were'nt hacked.

    3. I noticed the same thing going on. Not sure about the reason, but was very strange.

    4. While he did have many supporters,There just could'nt be that many people who could possibly follow this pied piper....however it happened before in Germany.

  7. The haters are those opposed to changes that will end their free ride in America.

    1. Oh my...this is not about free rides. This is about America and the entire world. Try to look a little farther than you coffee cup, man. And start reading international press. There is a lot out there in English. BBC is a good one. And according to recent election research Hillary voters were mostly people with a college degree and some higher education. And they neither ask nor need free rides. It's the poor suckers who felt left out who voted Trump!
