Oh My..We Changed The Plan Already / Denver Is OUT!

Well, our travel plans got a sudden change before we even started out. Denver is out and instead we will be going north through Las Vegas following the I-15 to the Canada border. And yup, that means getting into Idaho and Montana with all kind of lurking weather surprises. The good news is we really avoid Tornado alley. Reason we changed the plans is that we dropped the idea of buying another vehicle, thus saving another investment plus vehicle registration and insurance. Instead, we will leave the trailer in Alberta then go east to Campobello, which will take us 6-7 days in the fast lane. After a few days home I will take our little JEEP over to Alberta which means another 6-7 days in the fast lane. (I LOVE to drive and it’s only 9400kms :-)) That JEEP was once purchased in Alberta and will finally get “home” again. And if I have to move the trailer I can always rent a U-Haul truck for a day. That way I give myself the chance for getting the feel for the new situation and the job before any further investments are made. And I am fairly sure that you will be nodding your head in agreement. Last time we were in Yuma we saw a neat little bird sitting on the hood of a car. It was a little Burrow Owl. It wasn’t shy at all and let us get real close. When we came out of the store again it had moved up to the roof of our van, from where it was looking down on us. We didn’t have our own camera, but Betty had hers, a little Olympus, and that’s where I got the pictures from. Isn’t she just the cutest little bird? And thanks again for stopping by!
